April showers won't be bringing these...

So I've always had a problem with the amount of money spent on flowers at weddings... so I've recently been obsessed with new ideas for bouquets/ boutonnieres/ centerpieces EVERYTHING!! I just don't want real flowers at my wedding... so I stumbled upon this the other day, and I must say,
I'M IN LOVE!!

Felt!

(Who knew... right?!)
And Secondly...

Paper

Now, having made some paper flowers before for a baby shower just a warning: it can be VERY time consuming... so if you're wanting to fill your wedding with flower alternatives you will want to start early, and it will probably require outside help (did someone say BRIDESMAIDS??).

A few other ideas I love...

 Buttons

 Feathers

 Broaches

 Pearls

 Parasol

Pinwheels

If We Were a Movie

I don't think there is a girl in the world who doesn't love chick flicks, besides maybe that Tomboy who everyone mistakes for a boy sometimes, but I'm sure even SHE has a few she just can't help but love. Seeing two people (even if they are acting) being all giddy and totally in love just makes a girls heart thump a little faster.

Now, a girl's wedding day can usually be crazy and hectic, so my new favorite wedding trend?

Engagement/Bridal Shoot Video's

For those of you in Arizona, the best one I've found is

Brinton Films
Check them out at: http://www.brintonfilms.com/work/weddings/

                   No seriously, CHECK THEM OUT!!

You can do engagements, save the dates, bridal shoots, or the traditional wedding day video. They're SO adorable, and I love how they are all so in love and cute together. It's a living memory of how you feel on those special days in those "picture-perfect moments." Plus, it'd be a cute addition to any slide show you show at your wedding.

So yeah, I may never have someone tell me I'm the exception, and not the rule, like in He's Just Not That in to You... and I'm pretty sure I won't ever get Adam Brody standing on a Coffee Cart telling everyone about his undying love for me like Summer did in the O.C. And I know there is no way I'll have Chad Michael Murray run away from the game-winning goal just to kiss me in the pouring rain... But I'm definitely going to have the happiest day of my life made into an adorable little movie so I can watch it over and over again :)

Plus, some creepy old guy or lonely girl probably wrote that in their scripts... at least mine will be real <3

Pictures to last a lifetime

For me, the three most important wedding decisions,

1. Picking the groom
2. Picking the dress
3. Picking the photographer

for years I've been blog stalking photographers, mostly wedding photographers, and for the past few years I've thought I'd had the decision made: with Ben Christensen Photography

He's amazing, just look:

But then a girl I knew from high school got engaged and her sister did her pictures and now I'm in LOVE with her style too.

All I know is it's a good thing I'm not really planning my wedding, cause I would have NO idea which to pick. But to me, the photographer should be higher in priority than most details of the wedding, because no matter what you spend or have at your wedding, memories of the small details fade fast!!

1 part insanity 2 parts obsession

Welcome to my new blog! If you know me at all you are probably either
1. Rolling your eyes (because yes... MORE wedding things)
            OR
2. Smiling because it fits me perfectly (because yes... MORE wedding things)

I love weddings. Talk to me for five minutes and you will learn that I have been planning my wedding for years.

Do I have a groom in mind? NO!

Some people think you need one to plan a wedding, but I fully object. Yes, I know there are some things that would require you to wait until there is actually a ring on your/my finger. But there's no harm in dreaming or planning RIGHT??!?

I am 19 and no, I do not plan on getting married anytime soon, this is just something that I absolutely love. All growing up (before something required a very different career path change) I wanted to be a wedding planner.

Come on, who doesn't want to be J-Lo, planning fabulous wedding's, making the most important day of people's lives come out just like they've always dreamed??

(Plus, falling in love with Matthew McConaughey while having a incredibly cute Italian just begging for your hand in marriage could be pretty great too)

So that's the story: weddings are something I totally love! So it just makes sense to blog about them. These are just my ideas, things I think are cute, things I think are NOT cute, creative ideas, CHEAP ideas, just fun things that will make for a perfect wedding <3       ....whenever that time may come and with whomever it may be with.

(and yes, I know I couldn't ever have ALL of these things at my wedding, but a girl can dream!)
